Bus Code of Conduct

Students riding the bus are expected to follow safety guidelines and the bus driver's instructions. Buses may be equipped with video cameras to monitor behavior.

Consequences for Misbehavior:

• First Minor Offense: The principal will warn the student and notify parents.
• Repeated Minor Offenses: Disciplinary actions may include detention or suspension from the bus.
• Serious Offenses: May result in up to 7 days of bus suspension. Serious offenses include fighting, vandalism, endangering others, or refusing to stay seated.

Student Safety Guidelines:

• Remove backpacks and place them on your lap.
• Change seats only at designated stops.
• Offer open seats to ensure everyone is seated properly.
• Practice respectful and responsible behavior at the bus stop and on the bus.

Continued misbehavior may lead to further disciplinary action. Suspension from the bus does not excuse parents from ensuring their child attends school.

Transportation Eligibility

Students are eligible for free transportation if they live 1.5 miles or more from their assigned school or must cross a hazardous street.

Pick-Up Time Guidelines

Bus times listed are estimates under normal weather conditions. Allow a 10-minute window before and after the scheduled time, considering possible delays due to weather or traffic.
